i’ve seen some really good stuff here on tumblr, but using that may perpetuate the belief that we’re all just connected and spewing the same recycled argument. so below are a few good nom-tumblr articles to start with. i’ll note that only the first one spends much time talking about the specifics of dairy cow rape. but i don’t think it’s difficult to make the argument that the physical process constitutes rape. the more complex argument (for those who lack compassion and don’t see that connection as an obvious one) is the one that explains that if you believe that racism, sexism, and other isms are wrong, you must also believe that speciesism is wrong. once you can get someone to see the hypocrisy of the cheese eating feminist, the rest of the argument becomes obvious. i particularly like the argument that questions “what if someone did all that to your dog,” because it highlights speciesism much better for some people than comparing human rape to dairy cow rape.
